  5. Not even sure what the criteria is but I do play Garchomp and my actual main now is Croagunk. Actually started developing new tech that I showed off back in their discord but whatevs.
  6. As a TO, I'm all for the single screen. It was made to accommodate the fact Pokkén takes up too many resources for any event to run. We as a community need to get the stick out of our "rounds" and just learn to adapt to it for the sake of community growth. The expectation that not only events have to buy X amount of Switches, games, and LAN adapters with special cables that only work in this configuration is absurd. No other game in the FGC is like this.

  9. Summer Jam XI Feedback Thread

Look at the 2 you highlighted. You ran those right? Funny how there isn't really any dialogue response to them. Now look at Final Round 20. Oh wait who ran that? Apple. Once again, I will point out no other FGC does this. You want to pretend this isn't an attack, fine, be completely low key about it and your intentions. So the "support" for Big E's Pokkén tournaments you want to talk about is to open a public and anon forum to secretly low key humiliate and trash Apple is acceptable though? I never once committed to being a "community leader" despite the fact of me being the reason Philadelphia, PA still has somewhat of a consistent local Pokkén community. That was my choice since I loved the game, past tense. All the criticism you guys magically had was stuff that you guys had back at Final Round 20. Did any of this help improve another event where Apple is involved? Nope. So what's the point of this childish call out yet again? Also, not once did I say you shouldn't have legit criticism if stuff wasn't run properly, I.E. not enough set-ups, casuals from other games being used, late start, etc. I just find it distasteful and childish that this community want to have this façade of rainbows and sunshine when we're at these events but secretly everyone is a dick head behind someone's back when it's a group affair. Don't believe me? Just watch the stream chats where people really show their bias. Plus you guys want to complain about set-ups? Man I can't wait for DX to come out for when people are gonna demand TO's have 30+ Switches and realize how stupid that'll be. Also if you guys want to complain about seeding: GIT GUD. "Oh man I played this one person at another tournament first round too so it's not fair I got to fight em this tourney now." Cry me a river.
  10. Summer Jam XI Feedback Thread

Unable to attend Summer Jam XI so take my opinion/theories however you like. From an online viewer aspect, the tournament seemed fine, like any other major. There were cool upsets in brackets and the stream worked as well as it should despite some minor hiccups. However, I find it very unsettling that this is even a topic/thread for this tournament. Why? Is it because this is yet another THE APPLE BOOM tournament organizer ran event? All of a sudden people had issues? Let me take a guess right? - My bracket wasn't seeded properly! - I'm ranked here on the PR so I should not have to fight this person! - How come we started late? (30 minutes from what I understand) - The commentators are too bias for some matches Without having attended the event I can only go by my guess on those issues. However, there seems to be no secret that people dislike THE APPLE BOOM as a TO for whatever petty reasons they want to have. Out of all the players here how many run their own Pokkén locals? How many run their actual legit majors for their respective FGC games? Do you do understand the requirements involved? I'm sure for those that do understand, but for the other 98% here who want to chime as if they have a clue, don't because you don't. Stay in your lane as a player because you do not have what it takes to do what we do on a consistent basis and to criticize someone in this anon or public manner is very telling of this community. It's a community of wannabe adults who are childish, too many feel good "let's be best friends till the end" nonsense.

  12. Seems like a good proposal but I could see the "seeding" aspect being an issue. "Well this person COULD beat that person IF they played at this time...." would really lead to a nightmare scenario. I think in those situations we should find a way to avoid worrying about PR levels.
