    Registration is now open for the 2018 Pokémon World Championships!

     

    This event is the climactic conclusion to the 2018 Championship Series, with over $500,000 in prizes split between TCG, VGC, and Pokkén Tournament DX. The event is invitation only and features players who have competed for points throughout the 2018 season. Players who have not qualified for the event can compete in the Last Chance Qualifier, which is traditionally one of the most stacked Pokkén Tournament events of the year.

     

    Badges for the event must be worn at all times while in the venue, and they can only be purchased online. After registering, badges can be picked up at the Nashville Music City Center at the following times:

     

    • Thursday, August 23, 2018
      • 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. 
    • Friday, August 24, 2018
      • 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 
    • Saturday, August 25, 2018
      • 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 
    • Sunday, August 26, 2018
      • 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

     

    Players wishing to compete in the Pokkén Tournament Last Chance Qualifier tournament can register online starting today. Details are below:

     

    • Entry fee: $30 (nonrefundable)
    • Registration includes a spectator pass for the 2018 Pokémon World Championships
    • Players under 18 years of age will receive an additional spectator pass for a parent or guardian free of charge
    • All registrants will receive six Pokémon TCG booster packs
    • Mandatory player meeting: 9:45 a.m. on Friday, August 24

    The Pokkén Tournament Last Chance Qualifier will take place on Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Nashville Music City Center. The top two players in the Masters Division and the top player in the Senior Division will qualify for the 2018 Pokkén Tournament World Championships, taking place the next day. The event will utilize a Double Elimination bracket style, and only the HORI Pokkén Tournament Pro Pad will be allowed.

     

    The approximate schedule for the 2018 Pokkén Tournament World Championships is as follows:

     

    • Senior Division
      • 09:00 a.m. – Winners Round 1
      • 10:00 a.m. – Winners Round 2
      • 10:30 a.m. – Losers Round 1
      • 11:00 a.m. – Losers Round 2
      • 11:30 a.m. – Losers Round 3
      • 12:00 p.m. – Winners Finals
      • 12:30 p.m. – Losers Finals
      • 01:00 p.m. – Break 
      • 03:00 p.m. – Grand Finals

     

    • Masters Division
      • 09:00 a.m. – Winners Round 1
      • 11:00 a.m. – Winners Round 2
      • 12:00 p.m. – Losers Round 1
      • 01:00 p.m. – Losers Round 2
      • 02:00 p.m. – Winners Semi-finals
      • 02:30 p.m. – Losers Round 3
      • 03:00 p.m. – Losers Round 4
      • 03:30 p.m. – Winners Finals
      • 04:00 p.m. – Losers Semi-finals
      • 04:30 p.m. – Losers Finals
      • 05:00 p.m. – Grand Finals
      • 05:30 p.m. – Trophy presentation

     

    The prizes for the 2018 Pokkén Tournament World Championships are as follows:

     

    • Senior Division
      • 1st place: $3,000 Pokémon Visa® Prepaid Card
      • 2nd place: $1,500 Pokémon Visa Prepaid Card
      • 3rd place: $500 Pokémon Visa Prepaid Card

     

    • Masters Division
      • 1st place: $6,000
      • 2nd place: $4,000
      • 3rd place: $3,000
      • 4th place: $2,000
      • 5th place tie: $1,500 each
      • 7th place tie: $1,000 each
