Braixen Combo Thread!

Braixen can do combos.

Here’s a quick rundown while the Braixen discord scrambles to write everything down and figure out formatting.  This is not a conclusive list of combos, just a starting point.

xx is used to indicate a forward dash.

FCC is short for “Flame Charge Cancel,” explained here.

]A[ is used to show the release of the A button to gain a Sunny Day charge.

2A combo starter is a critical hit, unless otherwise stated.

6Y [DP] or f.Y [FP] combo starter is assuming the opponent is crumpled on hit, unless otherwise stated.

Duel phase combos are written using default layout and numpad notation, explained here:

numpad notation

Field phase combos are written using n/s/f/b/j as directional inputs [neutral, side, forward, back, jump]. For example, f.Y is boomerang and j.A is Flame Charge.

To-Do List:

- More combos, duh.

- Videos for each section demonstrating combos.

- Combos with more assists.

- Combo Theory segment, explaining Braixen’s combo pieces and how they fit together, aka how to custom combo.

- Anything else that enough people want to see, if I have the time.

- Have some more cleaning to do. Probably going to take most of the day. (Double <3)

Please point out mistakes or improvements that could made to this thread.

Changelog:

Spoiler

1.2.18b

- Added Support Combo Spreadsheet

- Linked current spreadsheets so you don't have to fiddle with embeds (unless you want to)

1.2.18

- Embed Excel Doc in a spoiler (Original credits go to Reddit User Optosi)

- Added visual representation of Numpad Notation

- It's overall cleaner than it used to be.

1.2.17

- Remembered Excel doc with Braixen combos + damage on it exists, linked at top.

1.1.17

- Cleaned up the TERRIBLE html styling since formatting wasn't matching the native forum html in the slightest. No more weird tweaks like this necessary in the future, hopefully.

- Began saving html of this post to my desktop, because that's a good idea.

12.30.16

- First iteration created while I was at work and posted.

- Double added damage values for some of the combos here. ty <3

Do we want to have damage listed for any of these? At least for Duel Phase?

Also another corner combo with Yveltal is:

5X, 5X, 8Y x L, j.[X], 8A, 8A

Damage levels are:

no enhance = 307

1 stock = 312 (can only get one 8A at the end)

2 stock (attack buff) = 324 (can only get one 8A at the end)

Damage will be listed the next time I get a chance to lab a bit, these are just all the combos I could think of while I was at work one day so I couldn't test for damage. Or if someone wants to be cool, they can help out by getting damage totals for me :3

Combo added, too.

Edited some damage values in. For some reason some of the lines wouldn't Unbold, and I'm not going through the mess of source code you somehow created to fix it lol.
